This film was way too obvious about what it was trying to do, and it took too long to get there. It was poised to be a new 2001, but languished in its droll-yet-gorgeous models. The actor who portrayed the protagonist did a great job, pulling double and even triple duty as the plot spiraled out of control. Then, suddenly, way, way too suddenly, it ends, leaving you cold and unfulfilled.
